WEST HAM owners David Gold and David Sullivan have sacked manager Gianfranco Zola.
The Italian manager came under heavy criticism from his employers despite managing to keep the club in England's top flight, albeit with the club's lowest points total in the Premier League.
A club statement read: “The Board of Directors would like to thank him (Zola) for his contribution and wish him well for the future.
“The club will now be focusing its efforts on seeking a replacement.”
