WEST HAM goalkeeper Robert Green has stated his intention to be a part of the club's revival next season.

The Hammers custodian admitted it was a relief that the team had managed to beat the drop and looked forward to a reversal in fortunes when the new campaign rolls around, despite rumours that he may be on his way out of Upton Park.

Arsenal are thought to be one of a number of clubs interested in the England number one, but Green is adamant he will be stationed between the posts in claret and blue once again next year.

Asked if he wanted to remain at the Boleyn Ground, the 30-year-old keeper said: “Of course. I've always stated that I'm a happy Hammer. I want to be here and not fighting relegation. I want to come forward with the club.

“Realistically that's something that's out of my hands and they (the owners) can say as much as they want to say about it.”

Green was referring to co-chairman David Sullivan's comments that stated he would be willing to sell any one of the current crop of players, other than Scott Parker, in the summer.

However, his overall feeling for the season was that of relief, as the Hammers avoided relegation in the final weeks of the campaign.

“It's been a difficult season. The main thing is we've stuck together and come out of it the other side,” added Green.

“It's fortunate there were three poor teams below us, but we clung in there and got the results when we needed to and sacrificed a lot in terms of playing style. The manager sacrificed a lot in terms of players. It wasn't ideal but we came out of it the other side and will come back stronger.”
