WEST HAM have are bidding for one of the biggest names in world football, Thierry Henry.
Co-owner David Sullivan has revealed the bold move to FC Barcelona will include £75,000 a week wages for the 32 year-old Frech striker who hardly played at Camp Nou last season.
Sullivan insisted he is serious about the deal, which he thinks fits the bill of what he and fellow co-owner David Gold want to do at Upton Park, after a disappointing last campaign.
"Henry could walk into almost any Premier League side” said Sullivan, who insisted the club is "serious".
Henry's calibre outweighs the impact effects his purchase could have upon endebted West Ham's finances, according to him.
Sullivan called it "a great deal".
"Henry is still up there with the best" he told The Sun.
