WEST HAM goalkeeper Robert Green impressed in England's final World Cup dress rehearsal on home soil during the 3-1 win over Mexico last night (Monday).
Green saved brilliantly from Arsenal's Carlos Vela on two occasions before he was eventually replaced at half-time by Joe Hart.
Green was beaten on the stroke of half-time by West Ham team-mate Guillermo Franco, who knocked in a rebound at the back post after Leighton Baines had failed to clear his lines on the goal-line. Ledley King, Peter Crouch and Glen Johnson got on the scoresheet for the Three Lions.
Matthew Upson and Scott Parker were unused substitutes on the night but the pair will be hopeful of featuring to stake their claim for a place in Fabio Capello's final 23-man squad when England take on Japan in Austria for their final warm-up game before they jet off to South Africa.
