WEST HAM star Valon Behrami is desperate to improve on his display at the last World Cup finals, where he played just TWO minutes.
The 25 year-old midfielder has just been named in Switzerland's final 23 man squad.
"A good World Cup would be to go further than we did in Germany in 2006" said Behrami.
"Four years ago, we finished top of our group ahead of France and South Korea, but we lost in the second round."
Behrami's adventure in Germany at the last finals was cut short when he was injured in a group match against South Korea, soon after kick-off.
He wants to make Switzerland proud this time.
"We are a small country. To get through the group is a big thing."
Switzerland play Costa Rica in Sion on June 1 and then a final warm-up game against Italy in Geneva on Saturday 5 June.
