WEST HAM look set to perform a dramatic U-turn by offering Luis Boa Morte a new contract, according to reports.
BBC Sport claim the midfielder will be offered a new deal, despite the Portugal international admitting last month that 'my future looks like it lies somewhere else'.
Boa Morte had launched a scathing attack on the club's co-owner David Sullivan towards the end of last season, slamming the chairman's open criticism of the team.
At the time Boa Morte said: “Mr Sullivan should have a bit more composure when he talks to the press to hammer the players, it's not helping anyone.
“The fact you have money doesn't mean you can say and do whatever you want.
“I'm not pleased with them and hopefully next season they will change to help the club move forward.”
He was forgiven for his comments by Sullivan, and went on to score in what the midfielder believed was his final appearance in a West Ham shirt on the last day of the season in the 1-1 home draw with Manchester City, following an season-long injury lay-off.
However, it appears the Hammers hierarchy have decided to offer the 32-year-old a new deal.
Should Boa Morte sign, it seems as if he will not be joined by strikers Ilan and Mido, who are not expected to have their deals renewed. Guillermo Franco will also, reportedly, not be asked back next season.
