SCOTT Parker has been in high demand throughout the summer, and with Aston Villa lining up a potential bid for the 29-year-old, West Ham chairman David Gold has hinted that the club may be prepared to sell their star man.
The Iron’s owner had said earlier in the summer that Parker was the only member of the squad who was not up for sale. However, with Villa potentially cashing in on Man City’s approach for James Milner, the Midlands outfit may have the money to lure Parker away from Upton Park.
"He is not for sale, but who would have thought Ronaldo could leave Manchester United, " Gold told the Daily Express.
"If Manchester City pay £50m for James Milner, then Aston Villa have that £50m and they are going to want to replace Milner."
It would be a bitter blow for the Hammers should the former Chelsea man leave Upton Park, with Parker arguably having his best season in a West Ham shirt last year, making 31 appearances and chipping in with two goals as the East Londoners battled against relegation last term.
