WEST HAM goalkeeping coach David Coles has revealed that he feels the club could have two potential stars in the pipeline as goalkeepers Peter Kurucz and Marek Stech continue to make their way through the ranks at Upton Park, writes Craig Rodhouse.
Hungarian Kurucz has only made one first-team appearance for the Hammers to date and, along with Czech stopper Stech, who has yet to make an appearance, Coles clearly believes that current number one Robert Green will have his position put under real scrutiny by the pair next season.
“I think the club has a good stock of goalkeepers,” Coles told club sources.
“I’ve been impressed with Peter and certainly with Marek. They’re very dynamic and they’ve responded well to what we’ve done. We’ve had quite a hard pre-season and an eye-opener into what I do as a goalkeeping coach. It’s a little bit different to what they’re used to, but they’ve responded really well.”
