PORTSMOUTH administrator Andrew Andronikou has revealed he is desperate to off-load high-earning Tal Ben-Haim from the Pompey wage bill, after West Ham reportedly showed an interest in the defender.
Avram Grant is thought to have displayed an interest in the Israeli earlier in the summer and, after complications over the 28-year-old's rumoured £38,000-a-week wage demands stalled the original deal, it seems that Grant could be ready to renew his interest in Ben-Haim.
Former Portsmouth chief Grant has been continuously linked with a number of Pompey stars throughout the summer and Andronikou has revealed that there has been interest from the Irons, as the administrator continues to try to replenish the side’s dire financial predicament by selling top earners at Fratton Park.
