WEST HAM have joined Tottenham and Arsenal in banning the controversial vuvuzelas from Upton Park.
The plastic horns became a symbol of the World Cup in South Africa this summer and attracted many critics. And the Hammers have now moved to ban them, stating they could be used as a 'weapon' and 'cause annoyance'. The announcement follows similar moves from Arsenal and Tottenham.
A club statement read: “Under the current health and safety regulations at the stadium, which already disallows musical bands, we would not allow them into the stadium as they could be considered a weapon and could also be considered to be an annoyance to others.”
