WEST HAM boss Avram Grant has insisted he does not want to sell striker Carlton Cole, despite reported interest from Stoke City.
The Hammers manager moved to quash the rumours that had been growing about a possible £9million deal, even though Potters boss Tony Pulis rubbished the claims this week.
However, Grant has been impressed by Cole during his time at Upton Park and sees him as a integral figure of his plans.
“I don't want to sell Carlton,” said Grant.
“He is working very hard. His attitude is good. He is a good player. Against Ipswich (when West Ham won one-nil) he was in the right place at the right time again.”
