AVRAM GRANT remains convinced West Ham will be able to drag themselves out of the relegation mire, despite being comprehensively outclassed by Manchester City on Saturday and seeing the gap between themselves and 19th-placed Wolves widen to three points.
After goals from Yaya Toure and Adam Johnson and an own goal from Robert Green handed a David Silva-inspired City side victory at Upton Park, the Hammers then witnessed Wolves defeat Birmingham at Molineux on Sunday.
The respective results mean West Ham are three points behind Mick McCarthy's men and four adrift of safety.
However, with a busy schedule over the festive period to come, Grant is confident results will soon come, and urged the club's fans to keep the faith.
“The supporters are great and my message to the fans is simple – everything is possible and I am sure we will be OK,” he said.”We will do everything we can to achieve our targets and never give up.
“I believe in this team and this club. Of course, this is the time to take points – we are coming to the middle of the season. There is time to recover but we need to change things and get points. I am sure we will do it. It won't be easy, but we can do it.”
