WEST HAM boss Avram Grant has made a swathe of changes from the team that recorded their first win of the season at Fulham on Boxing Day for the visit of Everton.
Two-goal hero Carlton Cole is dropped to the bench, to be replaced by the returning Victor Obinna. Freddie Sears retains his place on the right of midfield, while Luis Boa Morte returns from suspension for Junior Stanislas.
Both Danny Gabbidon and Tal Ben Haim miss out with Herita Ilunga and Julien Faubert coming in.
Radoslav Kovac and Scott Parker make up the central midfield axis, with James Tomkins and Matthew Upson continuing their partnership at the back.
Team: Green, Upson, Tomkins, Faubert, Ilunga, Parker, Kovac, Boa Morte, Obinna, Piquionne, Sears. Subs: Boffin, Reid, Cole, Barrera, Spector, Stanislas, Hines.
