WEST HAM forward Freddie Sears says he is happy to play on the wing, despite learning his trade at Upton Park as a striker.
The role in which Grant seems to see Sears is on the wing, rather than at the tip of the attack, where he has predominantly played during the years of his development at the club's academy.
However, the 21-year-old insisted he will play wherever he is needed and believes he is starting to get used to his new position.
“I started off as a winger but then went up front. I played (on the wing) a couple of times for the reserves and at Scunthorpe I played a lot on the wing in a 4-3-3 but it is hard work,” he said.
“It’s a role I can see myself getting used to. I feel I have played okay in both games (against Fulham and Everton). It's good I can show the manager I can play there if needed. If he sticks me up front I’ll be happy to go up front, it he wants to play out wide I'll go there.”
