AVRAM GRANT has criticised West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady's comments in a national newspaper that revealed she had pulled the plug on a deal to sign midfielder Steve Sidwell.
Brady, in her column in The Sun, said she called off the deal, despite Sidwell passing a medical and agreeing personal terms with the club, because 'with 13 midfielders and most of the injured about to return, we couldn't promise him regular first-team football'.
Grant retaliated after seeing his team progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup at the weekend with a 2-0 win over Barnsley at Upton Park.
“We don't have a problem, but I speak with the owners,” said Grant. “I'm dealing with the owners and that is the most important thing.
“Maybe I will have a column in a newspaper and say what I think.”
The Israeli boss also slammed insiders at West Ham who he believes are destabilising the club.
“When the rumours are coming from inside the club it doesn't create much stability,” he added.
“Of course I know where the rumours come from and I know there's people trying to hurt the club but if I put my energy on this it's no good.
“Sometimes there's situations you don't like you just have to deal with.
“I want to put my energy on the team and the players. I can solve it but not now.”
