AVRAM GRANT will stay on as West Ham boss for the time being, say reports.
The BBC claims Grant will remain in the Upton Park hotseat after the club's owners reportedly decided to back him at a board meeting today.
Rumours had been rife that the Israeli would be sacked after the meeting, but he may have been spared on the back of two important cup victories against Barnsley on Saturday and Birmingham City in midweek.
The first saw the Hammers book their place in round four of the FA Cup, and the latter ensures they take a 2-1 advantage into the second leg of the Carling Cup semi-final.
Things do not get any easier for Grant, however, as title-chasing Arsenal are the visitors to the Boleyn Ground on Saturday.
