WEST HAM face Arsenal in today’s late kick-off with the club’s players potentially on trial in front of a new manager, with Martin O’Neill widely expected to take over from Avram Grant after the match.
Grant was given a temporary reprieve by the board during a meeting on Wednesday, but it seems he will not be given the chance to guide the Hammers to the Carling Cup final or keep the team in the Premier League.
The game itself is a real test for West Ham, who can ill-afford to lose more ground on the teams above them in the fight for survival.
The hosts are set to be without Freddie Piquionne for the game as the striker is suffering with toothache.
Prediction: West Ham 1 Arsenal 2
