WEST HAM boss Avram Grant had admitted he treats every game like his last in the Upton Park hotseat.
It is, perhaps, a wise philosophy, given the incessant speculation that has surrounded the Hammers boss in recent weeks.
Grant was last week given the backing of the board after rumours that Martin O'Neill would take the reins.
“I treat every game like it is my last game,” said Grant. “I need to do my job for the long term, I have a contract here for the long term. My vision about West Ham is very clear, we need to put West ham in a good position and we need to do something off the pitch.”
The West Ham manager looked on in frustration as his side missed the chance to take a valuable three points from their game against Everton on Saturday.
Freddie Piquionne was sent off for an over-zealous celebration with the travelling fans after he had put the Hammers 2-1 up late on, but Marouane Fellaini struck in stoppage time to rescue a point for the Toffees.
