ORIENT chairman Barry Hearn has described the club's FA Cup fifth-round clash with Arsenal as a 'dream come true tie'.

The O's were pulled out of the hat with the Gunners in Sunday's draw for the last 16, following their shock victory over Swansea City the day before.

It is the first time Orient have been this far in the competition for 29 years, and Hearn was delighted with the prospect of taking on Arsene Wenger's high-flying side at Brisbane Road.

Hearn told Five Live Sport: “We've been waiting a long time for a real plum draw and they don't get any bigger. It will be fabulous to welcome Arsenal to the Matchroom Stadium. I can't wait for it. It's absolutely sensational.

“We'll give them a game. We're having the most wonderful season under Russell Slade with a great team of characters. The players are going to love this.

“Arsenal are right up there among the best teams in the world. We think we're the best team in Leyton or Leytonstone.

“I'm just so thrilled for the fans. Big days are what keeps you in love with small clubs, and memories are made on days like this. They were against Norwich and Swansea (in the previous two rounds) and we've finally got a home tie against one of the giants. It's so exciting, I'm really looking forward to it.

“It's a fantastic achievement to get this far. The dream will be to get into the last eight. I don't expect them to field anything other than a top quality team.”
