DEFENDER Lars Jacobsen believes Bolton's hoodoo over West Ham can be lifted on Saturday.
The Trotters have won the last six encounters between the sides, but the Hammers know that trend needs to be bucked at the Reebok Stadium if they are to climb back out of the relegation zone.
Jacobsen, though, is confident that West Ham will return from the north-west with the points in the bag.
“It's a real opportunity at Bolton. We all know it's a difficult place to play but in the Premier League it's always difficult and it's a new chance for us.
“With the quality and the players we have available at the moment it's possible to get a good result at Bolton. That's what we have to do and focus on at the moment and put this game (against Manchester United) away.”
West Ham are sunk by a second-half Wayne Rooney hat-trick at the weekend, having held a 2-0 lead heading into half-time.
