West Ham manager Sam Allardyce was satisfied with his side's performance after they won 1-0 at Doncaster Rovers to claim their first victory of the season.
The Hammers slipped to a surprise defeat at home to Cardiff last weekend but bounced back with their first points of the season at Doncaster.
Captain Kevin Nolan grabbed the winner after just five minutes when the former Newcastle United midfielder volleyed home from close range.
Allardyce said: "We missed too many chances again to just make it more comfortable for us but that aside everything else was very good today.
"We have talked all summer about the poor away form at West Ham and we've started in a very positive manner away. Hopefully we can continue to do that because we have got Watford away on Tuesday."
