West Ham manager Sam Allardyce remains hopeful he can persuade Robert Green to stay at Upton Park.
The England shot stopper produced a brilliant first half save during last night's win at Watford when they were only 1-0 up.
Green only has one year left on his contract and has been linked with a move back to the Premier League but Allardyce still thinks he could hold onto the goalkeeper.
The former Newcastle boss said: "Robert has gone into the last year of his contract and it’s obviously a delicate situation for us. We are in the Championship and we’re not flushed with money any more apart from the owners funding it themselves.
"There is only a certain length we can go so I just hope we can sort it out but that’s a negotiation that will continue until it’s exhausted.
“Like everybody else I think he will stay if he thinks the contract is right. If it’s not, then if he has to let it run out he has to let it run out.
"There’s not a lot we can do about that but hopefully we can sort it out."
