West Ham United chairman David Gold admits there is plenty of hard work ahead despite their return to the Premier League.
The Hammers sealed their place in the top flight after a 2-1 win over Blackpool at Wembley on Saturday.
Gold told the Telegraph: "We are back in the Premier League but the hard work starts today because we are a club that is recovering from a difficult period in its history.
“We’ve gone through some poor management structures. Our financial structure was poorly run for many years. We are getting to grips with that and getting back into the Premier League certainly helps with that endeavour.
“[Not getting promotion] It would have cost probably around another £30 million.
“But you never know [until] you sit down and work it out. It also depends on what you want to do."
